Vietnam - Ao Dai 20 images Created 2 Apr 2014
The Ao Dai is the national dress of Vietnam - pronounced "Ow-Zai" in the north, and "Ow-Yai" in the south - usually worn by women, and consists of baggy silk trousers and a tight-fitting, long silk tunic top. Worn by high school girls, university students, office and hospitality workers, and in often very ornate versions for weddings and other formal occasions. Male versions are looser fitting, and often worn by the groom at a wedding.
